Rustin Levenson Art Conservation Associates specialize in the conservation of easel paintings and murals.  A current mural conservation project is the Thomas Lofton Johnson Mural in the Mess Hall at West Point.  Rustin Levenson and Harriet Irgang are pictured in front of the mural.

Rustin Levenson Art Conservation Associates have worked with museums and private clients throughout the country carrying out pre-purchase consultation, collection surveys, and conservation treatments.

Rustin Levenson graduated from the conservation training program at the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University and worked in the painting conservation departments at the National Gallery of Canada and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  She founded Rustin Levenson Art Conservation Associates in 1980.  Along with numerous other publications, Rustin is the co-author of Seeing Through Paintings. (Yale University Press, 2000)

Harriet Irgang, director of the studio in New York City, received a Masters degree from the Conservation Program at New York University.  Before joining Rustin Levenson Art Conservation Associates in 1984, she worked at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
