Conserving a Painted Surface on a George Segal sculpture
Sometimes the painted surfaces we treat can be on plaster. Part of disassembling this George Segal work at the Miami Art Museum involves separating the two pieces of the background rock. This is undertaken by Veronica Romero, together with visiting Russian conservators Pasha and Ivan from the Miami studio. Special crates from Artex will protect the elements as they move to the Miami Art Museum's new facility.
